Did You Know? The World's First 'Car' Was a Steam-Powered Cannon Hauler That Crashed!
In 1769, Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot created the world's first self-propelled mechanical land vehicle, a steam-powered tricycle designed to haul artillery. It was so unwieldy and difficult to steer that it famously crashed into a wall during one of its early trials, marking history's first recorded automobile accident.
